Merced is a city of 80,000+ in California's northern San Joaquin Valley.
It lies between Monterey on the Pacific coast, and Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevadas.
The Merced Camera Club was founded in 1958 and currently has 40+ members.
We are a member club of the Photographic Society of America and the San Joaquin Valley Camera Club Council.
Our objectives are:
1. Association of our members for the mutual enjoyment of all branches of amateur photography.
2. Encouragement and instruction of our members and guests in the science and techniques of the art of photography.
3. Contributing to our community’s enjoyment and advancement of amateur photography.
Any person active or interested in amateur photography is eligible for membership.
We meet the first Tuesday of each month from September thru May.
Meetings include competitive judging of members’ digital images and prints, and presentations by guest photographers.
Guests and visitors are always welcome.
